Welcome!
I'm LJ
I am the wife of an amazing hubby that works hard to provide for our family so that I can stay home and raise our children. I am also a homeschooling mother of three sweet kiddos! I have a 10 year old girl who is in fourth grade, and a 5 year old girl, and a 6 year old boy that are doing Kindergarten together.
I am on my fifth year as a stay-at-home homeschooling mom. I used to tell people I retired but my husband kept reminding me that I am definitely still working a job! Now I like to tell people I am a home educator. Sounds so much better!
When we began to consider homeschooling our oldest I had a lot of friends around me at the time who were already homeschooling their kids. If it were not for their encouragement and their patience as I asked LOTS of questions, I don’t think I would have had the courage to make the leap into homeschooling.
My hope is that I can be that encouragement to you now. That is the heart behind starting this blog. To be that person in your corner encouraging you to start this amazing journey. To share tips, curriculum, or resources that have helped me along the way. Or even to just encourage you to keep going on the days that are hard, because sometimes it is hard.
But don’t let the hard days scare you off!! We all remember those sleepless nights with newborns, but we still look back on that time and remember all the wonderful things about that season of our lives. It’s the same with homeschooling. There will be days that challenge us and stretch us, but one day you will look back and be thankful for all the sweet, fun, joy-filled moments that went by in a flash.
I’d love to hear any thoughts or questions you have so please reach out!! I’d love to hear what’s on your heart as I share with you what’s on mine.
